The last two years have been crazy! I don’t think anyone at the start of 2019 would’ve expected to experience a global pandemic with the devastating impact that COVID-19 has had.
So hopefully 2022, things become a bit more normal, and we can focus on growing or starting a new business, project, or even a small club that you’ve been thinking about for a while.
Starting something new is about growing. Fulfillment comes from growth in all aspects of life. In more practical terms, it allows people to be paid for their work. Keeping your business logo up to date will ensure that your company’s image is always current. Guerilla marketing uses unconventional communication to promote your brand, message, or idea.
Type it into Google, and you’ll see tons of ideas to inspire you, but we’re going to cover a cool one we found here.
Often when you are just starting out, you’ve got little money and need to make that go far as you can. We particularly love this idea because of how much impact you can have for such little spend.
This idea is as simple as a little bit of street cleaning plus a custom vinyl sticker and probably costs no more than $50.
If you put it in the right place, you’ll get thousands of people every day walking across it, and because it’s so unusual, it will grab their attention.
This works so well for the brand in question because of the product they sell and their values. So it may not work as well for you, but if you can find ideas that align with your brand or product, you could be on to a winner!
2 – Get influencer shoutouts
Connecting with the right influencers in your social space and building relationships with them can prove very valuable.
Huge brands such as Gymshark started this way and have now gone on to become billion-dollar businesses.
Why not try sending them some company merchandise? You could wrap up a product sample, a free T-shirt, and some beautiful custom printed stickers, and your influencer may just do an unboxing video for you.
If they promote this to their followers of, for example, 30,000-50,000, then this could be massive for your business.
So why not try reaching out to a few people on Instagram or TikTok and see if they’re interested. I think you could be surprised.
3 – Giveaways at events
Maybe you’re an events-based business, so making sure you get your brand out there at every event could be the way to success.
Often after prospects walk around all day at an event, they’re tired and have a bag full of flyers and rubbish! They flop on their sofa and end up chucking most of these useless bits of paper in the bin.
Why not give them a surprise!
Everyone loves stickers, and if you can give them a premium custom transparent sticker that looks awesome when stuck on the laptop or phone, maybe they’ll do just that and get your brand front of mind every time they see it. This is a well-proven method to increase the probability someone will buy from you.
4 – Add stickers with every order
A similar idea for brands that aren’t at events but instead sell products is to put a sticker in with every package.
The beauty about this idea is that you’re sending your logo or something unique to do with your brand to your customers and potential advocates!
There is nothing more powerful than an advocate who raves about your brand but also advertises your business on the back of their laptop wherever they go.
Maybe they commute on the tube every day, and thousands of people see the back of their laptop with your custom sticker throughout the year. This is a pretty powerful way to increase brand recognition and word-of-mouth growth.
