1. Patchwork
Patchwork is a distinctly 1960’s trend that’s making a comeback this fall. It brought a hippie counterculture spirit to the start of the AW19 women’s fashion shows.
The different textures were combined and the prints were mixed and matched made the maximalist style stand out.
From Gucci’s patchwork scarves kaftan to Alice + Olivia Malin’s patchwork dresses to Rianna + Nina Vintage’s Patchwork silk kimono coat that will set you back a few thousand dollars, the options are plenty to choose from.
You can also choose to accessorize using patchwork pumps from Salvatore Ferragamo, Ralph Lauren’s patchwork boots or an evening patchwork bag at Zara.
You can keep warm with Noisy May’s patchwork faux fur coat.
2. Statement Sleeves
The puffy shoulder details were incorporated in different styles showing us they are part of the trends for 2019.
Alexander McQueen’s use of the puffed up sleeves was a contrast to the sharply tailored clothes while Alessandra Rich and Richard Quinn used them on floral designs.
At A.L.C, they presented the jumpsuit with puffy sleeves, Chloé cashmere sweater proved that puffy sleeves were not just for summer and Roksanda’s midi dress with the statement sleeves can be worn anywhere.
3. Modal-Blend Suit Blazer
The best part about this suit is that it can be broken down and worn separately. The blazer can be worn with a pair of denim jeans and accessorized with Gucci’s signature horse bit buckle belt.
The other half of the neutral colored outfit that is the trouser, can pair wonderfully with summer tops if correctly matched.
4. Bucket Hats
Bucket hats are back – and they’re back in a big way! At Valentino, the bucket hats were rebooted in sculptural lace while at Tom Ford the oversized hats were presented in fluffy faux-fur.
Maria Grazia Chiuri gave them the leather treatment with net veils and will be the street style must have this fall.
